Corrective Services NSW
Corrective Services NSW provides custodial and community-based services, including correctional centre custody of remand and sentenced inmates to reduce re-offending and enhance community safety. Since 2008, Corrective Services NSW and DAMEC have worked together to support Vietnamese and Arabic speaking offenders with drug and alcohol issues and their families. In 2013, DAMEC was presented with the inaugural Corrective Services NSW Equity and Diversity Award in recognition of the support DAMEC has provided to culturally and linguistically diverse offenders.
Hume Community Housing Association
As a Community Housing Provider, Hume aims to create vibrant, sustainable and cohesive communities through the delivery of outstanding homes and equitable services. With the assistance of Hume, DAMEC is able to build on the security created by stable housing to help Vietnamese and Arabic-speaking ex-offenders transition effectively back into the community.
Vietnamese Drug and Alcohol Professionals Inc (VDAP)
VDAP is a network of Vietnamese-speaking professionals working in the drug and alcohol sector. VDAP has been a long-term supporter of DAMEC's work through information sharing, professional advice and language support.
